Steps to reproduce

Try to drag and drop a file in Obsidian

Expected result

File inserted as attachment

Actual result

Can’t drop the file. But after restarting the app (not reloading) drag-and-drop is back (with plugins enabled), but it’s on and off after a certain time or interactions. Can’t see a pattern.

Environment

  • Operating system: Windows 10
  • Debug info: Obsidian v0.13.14

Additional information

Same with and without plugins enabled, regardless of the file.

Works for me. Windows 10, Obsidian 0.13.18

Another user mentionned this bug in Discord (it seldomly appears for him and it’s gone after a restart of the app).

Sounds as if you can get it reliably. So worth recording what you see in the console and reporting that here so error can be identifiied.

I can’t reproduce in the help vault.

Inserting the file works via the Insert attachment command.
