Drag and drop and wikilinks not working for attachments

I’ve been unable to get either drag and drop, or direct wikilinks to an .svg to work. I searched and tried most of the solutions offered for this. Uninstalling and reinstalling Obsidian. I’ve turned off all community plugins as I do use Excalidraw, and I saw that it could cause this behaviour.

I have my vault stored locally, and the attachments folder is within the larger Obsidian folder, and set in Obsidian as the place to put attachments. I tried the sandboxing and I could then drag and drop.

So, I’m at a loss as to why it won’t work when I have all the plugins disabled, but will in the sandbox.

Writing it all out made me think of something. I had a particular folder within the larger Obsidian folder open as its own vault. Once I closed it, and then opened the main Obsidian folder I was able to drag and drop.

I’ll have to reinstall all my community plugins to see if it still works with Excalidraw, but I think I can work the rest out.
