Does Graph View retain a memory of positions of nodes?

Suppose I move nodes around on Graph View to achieve an arrangement I like. Is there a way to preserve or retain memory of that view so that when I re-invoke Graph View, nodes start where I (approximately) left them? I understand that new nodes and links may have been generated, forcing Graph View to redraw. Perhaps, the redrawing can use the prior Graph as the starting point and move prior nodes as little as needed to achieve the new Graph.

I think everyone can agree saved positions would be nice.

For feature requests, there is a handy template to use that will only appear if you choose the feature request category before typing your post.

And as another side note, and please don’t take this as a criticism of you, but using the search for a keyword or relevant phrase before creating a new topic will often help you find existing threads about the subject.

Rather than taking the joy of learning to navigate this awesome forum away from you by just linking you to some of the already existing topics, I will let you find them.

Good luck, and welcome.

Thanks.
