Disabling automatic updates completely removes the feature to update at all?

So as the title suggests, when I disable automatic updates (to prevent Obsidian phoning home, which didn’t really work since it still phones home to it’s API despite automatic updates disabled but this could be because of plugins I believe), this completely removes the feature to even update the app at all?

I’m really hoping this is a bug right? Cause it makes no sense.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Disable automatic updates
2. There ya go
