Disable pdf preview

Hi. The function to disable PDF preview is highly needed. If the obsidian document contains many PDF documents, the obsidian document simply slows down in viewing. You can show pdf as a obsidian does with *.txt files.

When user disable pdf preview give him option to choose default pdf app. Build in preview pdf app useless when you need to work with pdf files. It is very annoying to right click and choose open in default app.

I found a similar question but it’s abandoned

If I understand what you are asking for, you could include the document using the standard linking:

[[My PDF File.pdf]]

Instead of

![[My PDF File.pdf]]

The exclamation mark before the bracket adds previews for supported documents.
