Use case or problem
In graph view :
- If note A has a link to note B, this is a
link connection
, and Obsidian will draw circle A, circle B, and a line between them. - If note C has tag G, this is a
tag connection
, and Obsidian will draw circle C, circle G, and a line between them.
The problem is :
- You can’t tell the difference between them.
- Hard to analyze tags relationships.
- You can’t display ‘tags connections’ alone to analyze them because Obsidian has two options: 1. display ‘links connections’ alone 2. display both ‘links connections’ and ‘tags connections’.
Proposed solution
- Add an option in the Graph View to display only the
tags connections
, without showing thelinks connections
. - Use dashed lines when representing the
tags connections
. - Use another circle shape for the tag circle.
