Different shape for tags connections

Use case or problem

In graph view :

  • If note A has a link to note B, this is a link connection, and Obsidian will draw circle A, circle B, and a line between them.
  • If note C has tag G, this is a tag connection, and Obsidian will draw circle C, circle G, and a line between them.

The problem is :

  • You can’t tell the difference between them.
  • Hard to analyze tags relationships.
  • You can’t display ‘tags connections’ alone to analyze them because Obsidian has two options: 1. display ‘links connections’ alone 2. display both ‘links connections’ and ‘tags connections’.

Proposed solution

  • Add an option in the Graph View to display only the tags connections, without showing the links connections.
  • Use dashed lines when representing the tags connections.
  • Use another circle shape for the tag circle.
