Question
What is the difference between using tags in properties and in the body of the notes.
Is there a benefit in using the tags in properties rather using in the body.

Both inline tags and tags in Properties officially apply to the entire note, but when using the Search tab or embedded queries, you can see the context of where the tag is in the note. I find this really useful.
Search tab and context →
Embedded query and context →
```query
tag:tktk
```
Most of my inline tags are verbs - some action to take in that section of a note: #to-check, #revise, #tktk (come back here!), but there are some nouns as well to mark a spot in a section/note: #maint for maintenance matters around the house and office, etc.
I should also mention that inline tags start with a #. You don’t need to type this when adding tags using the metadata editor interface (“Properties in document”):
source mode | reading view
Tags in the body are easier to use in other apps. I don’t know of any apps that support properties (at least not in the same way Obsidian does), but some support hashtags. And even an app that doesn’t support hashtags can still use them if it supports searching multiple files.
