Desktop app: Discoverability for all keyboard shortcuts

Use case or problem

In order to find that Shift-cmd-f would open a global search, I ended up coming to the forum, finding that there was a global list of keyboard shortcuts inside the app’s Settings, and finally finding “Search in all files”. This could be avoided with either a hover tooltop on the magnifying glass at top left in the app, or a menu entry.

Proposed solution

I’d propose to do both: add menu entries for global search and other unrepresented operations with existing keyboard shortcuts to appropriate places in the menus (for example an entry for global search could come under the other two search operations in Edit), and add keyboard shortcuts to the existing hover tooltips on the application icons.

Current workaround (optional)

Current workaround is to go to “Hotkeys” in preferences and search around for the operation you want to find a shortcut for.

For what it’s worth, this particular command and default hotkey is noted here:

By default, you can find Search in the left sidebar ( lucide-search.svg > icon ). You can also open Search by pressing Ctrl+Shift+F (or Cmd+Shift+F on macOS).
