Default highlighting is now more tedious (Update 1.14)

Use case or problem

Before 1.14 update, you typed == for highlighting and the == closing was automatically typed.
Now, typing == open a switch-tab where you have to choose a colour before automatically closing the right ==.

I find this confusing when I just want to use the default highlights. Obsidian Team makes a great work, but I find that new features shouldn’t affect the previous workflow/writing if not wanted.

Proposed solution

Enable an option in the settings where it is possible to choose a default color and not showing this new color tab.

I just tested this and it’s not true. the closing == was not automatically typed.

OK, but we still didn’t have to choose a color, just type and go.

Now, typing == open a switch-tab where you have to choose a colour

(I’m not using the beta so can’t verify what it does, just pointing out the other half of the concern that wasn’t addressed.)

you don’t have to choose a color either, you can keep on typing.
