The things I have seen done with Datacore are very, very cool. The problem is, that you need to be able to program. The nice thing about Dataview is that it’s way more accessible.

Totally agreed, not saying Dataview doesnt have a space [for now] until Datacore is finalized and has the all the same functionality as Dataview

But here to show you all there’s a whole new world just waiting for you all to explore. I’m providing you with food for thought. Be creative, imagine the endless possibilities.

Fun fact, all this was done with pure vibe coding. Didnt write a single line of code myself. Yeah not my best work, not the prettiest but does it work? good enough for me [for now].

Or just wait until the next version come out

We"ll be around… :saluting_face:

Lol, great point. If you watch video I explain the installation process. Sure not the most straight forward but relatively simple utilizing BRAT plugin

And i do mention

The one thing I really want is to have the search feature. I’ll wait until Datacore is developed enough to be on the plugin store. and when it (hopefully) has good documentation.

By the way, you mentioned AI assisted coding. How did you do that? I don’t think ChatGPT or claude have access to datacore documentation. I tried using it a while back to create a templater script, but failed, because it wasn’t familiar enough with how obsidian worked or how my setup functioned.

Hehe purely done through ChatGPT{95% and help from a few other LLM}, slowly building bit by bit using working versions until it has become this monstrousity. Dont know if I should feel proud or ashamed, iiwii do.

If you check within my website under datacore.query, you’ll find toward the bottom a collection of series of queries which was the evolution of me figure out functional views for datacore utilizing ChatGPT and just feeding it a bunch of info from the Discord (back then we didn’t have the datacore documentation website). Do the appearance of the documentation website sped things up.

Recently the use of o3-mini-high game changer personally {thank you Deepseek teehee} and combining it with Projects spaces [store valuable info / code set] and just keep slowly progressing from there.

Do looking back at code right now, horrendous :face_with_peeking_eye:, should of cleaned it up a bit more but hey works and I ain’t getting paid for this so who cares, I dont

Been in talks with someone in Datacore community which is much better coder overall than I personally am and he’s implemented some searching functionality so looking to further query utilizing his knowledge. wip we shall see what happens but hope this helps in any way. But I’d add don’t ever rely on any AI, the only true thing you can rely is your[[SELF]] and your knowledge so use AI to better learn but don’t become depending on it {advice for self at this point hehe}

You mean downloads. You can safely divide download numbers of popular plugins by 4 or 5 on average as people who use them, will download multiple instances of them for different platforms and vaults.

So, 911.864 users than? :wink: My answer is exaggerated, just like the title and the post itself … :smile:

Was curious and searched up how many people uses Obsidian and the answer it provided back is around 1 million do you really think all Obsidian users uses dataview? Highly doubt it but hey who’s counting and I understand you wanting to keep the exaggeration going. Its probably much closer to what @Yurcee was stating.

And my only job is to break your own current perceive reality. If this post brought you negative emotions? Good but that’s just your own reflection of reality. Who cares about your feeling? No one it’s you unable to control your[[SELF]]

Just learning/playing the game you all have created…
