Daily Note Date Format Makes Unwanted Folders?

Not sure if this classifies as a bug report or if I’m just doing a stupid somewhere along, here. (I’m using Windows, btw)

What I’m trying to do

Give my daily note a title in a DD/MM/YYYY format.

The problem I’m running into is that when I do this, it makes a bunch of folders, thinking that the / separator between the times is a sign to make a new folder.

For example, for today’s daily note, when I auto-generate a daily note using the Ctrl + P shortcut, this happens:

Things I have tried

The Daily Notes page didn’t have anything to say about this.

I’ve tried using the Moment.js localised formats mentioned in Obsidian itself, ie. codes like L . Same problem shown in the image pops up.

Welcome to any and all help.
Thanks!

Discovered that I have indeed done a stupid.

Slash characters (i.e. / and \) can’t be in file names because they’re restricted characters by the operating system.

Whoops!
