Custom hotkeys erased after updating plugins

I seem to be running into the issue of having all my custom hotkeys erased and restored to their defaults every time I update my community plugins. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?

Would it work if I backup the .obsidian/plugins/example/data.json file in a separate location and then use it to replace the updated one (with the default hotkeys) each time I update my community plugins? Or would this likely cause other issues?

Yeah happened to me too with the commander plugin. I guess this issue needs to be addressed individually by each plugin developer.

this should not happen, if find the source of the problem please let us know (if it is a core obsidian problem) or contact the respective plugin developer.
