CTRL + Drag & Drop Does not create absolute links on Linux

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open any vault.
  2. Open Gnome’s default file browser.
  3. CTRL + Drag & Drop a file into obsidian.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? Yes

Expected result

An external link created, I imagine something along the lines of: [link](file://…). However, the file is copied into the vault.

Actual result

The file is copied into the vault just like with regular Drag + Drop. There’s no external link amde.

Having exactly the same issue, with very similar specs (Fedora Silverblue, Gnome, Wayland, Flatpak version of Obsidian)

Did you try the appimage or snap as asked in the BR template?
