Ctrl-C / Cmd-C in Reading mode should copy the rendered version (HTML)

As of Obsidian v1.10, Ctrl-C / Cmd-C in Reading mode copies the whole source document.

In reading mode, it would make more sense to copy the rendered version (i.e. the HTML).

I see your point. But I think it’s the kind of feature that will never be consensual. My take on this:

  • It could be a general preference:
    • In preview mode, copy as :  ☐ HTML  ☐ plain text  ☐ Markdown ☐Rich Text
  • A problem is that once you have more than one pane in Reading mode, Obsidian doesn’t know which one you want to select if you type A. A solution could be that once something is already selected inside a pane, then A could select the whole content of the pane. And then C could be handeled as proposed above.

My two cents…

This is a weird choice. Now that copying in live preview and reading modes both get me the source text, how can I copy the rendered text? Even manually selecting part of the text in reading mode would include the MD marks.
