Ctrl+A Ctrl+C (Cmd+A Cmd+C) does not copy text in preview

Greetings. I am new and seem to be having the same problem. I do not have the Calendar app installed, but I have noticed that when I go into reading mode, I can do CTRL+A and select all the text, but as soon as I initiate the CTRL+C command, it deselects all the text and nothing is copied. Here’s my debug info if that helps:

Worked for me as well, although by changing hotkeys for “Note Refactor”.

I think I find a workaround. In preview, cmd+a selects not only all the contents but also the file name (under the tab bar), which stops cmd+c from working. Manually select from the start to the end of the file and cmd+c now works as expected.

This is a great workaround! But… we should fix what Ctrl + A (or Cmd + A) does to default to selecting all of the content text so that you can then copy it with keyboard.

There is a workaround for this, go to settings | appearance and disable “show tab title bar”. This prevents ctrl + a from selecting text in the title bar and ctrl + c works as expected.

If you like having the breadcrumb, you can use “quick explorer” plugin to have a breadcrumb in the bottom statusbar instead

EDIT: Getting Ctrl + A working reveals another bug though… If you have a really long note, selecting with ctrl + a and then copying doesn’t always copy all of the text.. you have to scroll to the bottom of the note before hitting ctrl + c to get it to copy all of the text

will be fixed in 1.10.x. No ETAs.

Cmd-A Cmd-C in reading mode will copy the whole SOURCE code of file.

If you want to copy the whole rendered version (HTML), follow here.
