Things I have tried

I have a note - ABCDE. Now when I try to create a new note [[BC]], the preview shows me ABCDE and no option to create a new one - BC. How do i get around this ? It is creating friction for me when I am typing meeting notes. Any suggestions is welcome

If you type [[ABC and hit Esc, it’ll break out of the auto completion, and allow you to enter the final ]] which would then create the link you the new file, as you want.

thanks holroy. I have “auto pair brackets” option enabled. So I tried the ESC key and then tried hitting the end key to get out of the brackets and seems to be working for me now. Thanks for your suggestion !!
