Creating a note from a Kanban card puts the tags into the title -- how to keep them just as tags?

Using the Kanban plugin, if you have card with tags on it and then make a note out of it (using the “New Note from Card” option), the tags are converted to text and put into the title of the note. I don’t want that; I want to leave the tag out of the title and use it instead as a tag on the note. I’d still like the see the tag in the kanban view.

I found this thread on the GitHub repo for the plugin but there’s no indication that it was ever a feature that was implemented. Is there a way to do this?
