Creating a new file. some keys wont work.. Delete, paste (⌘V)

When I’m typing in a file name or a card in a canvas
some keys don’t work:
Delete
Backspace
⌘C
⌘V

I’ve searched for what it could be but I don’t even know what I should look up.
I’ve reset my keyboard.
what do you guys think…

MacOS I assume from ⌘.

Are you new to Obsidian and it has always done this? Or did it just recently start happening?

Can you share your Cmd-P → “Show Debug Info?”

When you say “reset” a keyboard, do you mean a USB connection? Or firmware? Or OS/language settings? Anyway, first step is probably to figure out if it’s your Obsidian settings.

  1. If you’re on a really old Obsidian installer, it’s worth downloading and reinstalling.
  2. You can try to open the Help → Sandbox vault. This vault has fresh settings where you can test things out. If it works there, it might be settings or plugins in your vault.
  3. You can try turning off community plugins to test. If it starts working, you might have to A) update your plugins B) turn them on/off until you figure out which plugin is causing issues.

Yes a Mac, it did just resently start happening.
I reset my Bluetooth keyboard to factory settings.

just tested out the sandbox and it works like normal… Dang it.

I have disabled “Style Settings” by mgmeyers
and It hase been fixed. alright something I switched off in there…

Had the same issue on MacOS as well, even though I had no community plugins whatsoever. It worked in the sandbox, but not in my personal vault.
Updating to version 1.8.9 fixed it for me.
