Create shortcuts for words

Hello everyone,

I use Obsidian to write quite a lot of stuff.

Is there a way (plugin or not) to create shortcuts for words or sentences?

For example, is there a way I can write “Philippe le Bel” by just writing “P4”?

Take a look at the plugins text snippet and text expander (I think that’s the name). They should offer functionality like you request, if I’m not mistaken.

Abbreviations Expander is a plugin that does that.

Its name does not suggest it, but also the “Latex suite” doubles as a text expansion tool.

Then there is the option of using a system wide text expansion tool, such that your expansions work everywhere. For example, Espanso is an open source cross-platform text expansion tool.
