Yes, copying from the Obsidian note title works correctly.

It works in Gboard. Thanks for identifying the workaround.

I would still like to see it fixed for Samsung Keyboard, since this is a recent regression (through apparently caused by a Webview change). (I haven’t tested downgrading Webview myself.)

Also, I think most (certainly a lot of) Samsung users will stick with the default keyboard.

I can’t work on this more today, but I hope I helped. Wishing you success on reporting it upstream/updating Obsidian if needed/helping get it fixed.

I think the problem is Samsung Keyboard, probably their inability to handle mixed HTML / text in their virtual keyboard clipboard display. Because the clipboard mechanism itself works. So I am not sure we (Obsidian) should do something about this. We’ll think about it.

Hi,

I’m having this same problem too, since updating my Samsung phone a couple of days ago. I also recently enabled obsidian sync, but I’m not sure if it started after that.

It’s the same webview version as reported above and the problem goes away if I use gboard instead of the samsung keyboard.
