Copy/Paste Formatted text (to Google Docs)

hi - I often copy/paste from Obsidian to Google Docs. For example, I write a status report in Obsidian and copy/paste subsections of the document into a Google Doc.

I used to set it in Reading mode, select, and copy/paste. With exception of the font type and size, I had to do no adjustments. Bold was bold, Italic was Italic, URLs were hyperlinks in Google Docs.

This seemed to have changed since the upgrade to version 1.x. The format is no longer preserved.

Anyone experience the same, or have a solution?

Are you coping from the Source (or Live Preview) view or from the Reading view? I imagine Reading View is what you want

I was copying from the Reading View.

Hmm. Strange. I can’t reproduce your issue. I tried with some heading.

Do you have a screenshot of what you’re trying to copy?

The problem seems to be primarily the bolded text that is not preserved. Also the highlighted text lost its formatting in the copy paste.

Heading, italic, bulleted lists were preserved.

I’m seeing the same thing - copying bold text doesn’t work, italics work.
