What I’m trying to do

I have multiple local vaults. Separate projects that I don’t want the notes to be merged. When I read the docs (linked above) it seems as though I can connect multiple local vaults, but when I attempt to add a second local vault to my remove vault, I get this message:

This reads to me like, all the notes between the two separate vaults will be merged into one, which is what I don’t want. Is there a way to have separate local vaults synced using Obsidian’s native feature?

Hmm, I don’t know what “connecting multiple local vaults to your remote vault” does either. So then it sounds like that isn’t what you want to do.

You can create multiple remote vaults, and keep them separate.

Each Obsidian Sync account can have 5 remote vaults. So for each of your separate vaults, you’d create a new separate remote vault.
