What I’m trying to do
I would like to build out our company process documentation in Obsidian. Obsidian is a great app for this, since I can backlink processes to company-wide workflows and to individual job role descriptions. I manage my vault in Google Drive. My ultimate vision is to let employees login to a “wikipedia” to find information on processes, workflows, job descriptions, etc. However, some areas should be locked according to job role for security reasons.
Does Obsidian publish allow for “readers” to be required to login to receive restricted access to a vault?
Things I have tried
For now, I’ve divided .md files into folders of my vault by security level. I will install Obsidian and G Drive Desktop on each computer and share the G Drive folder for that person’s access level for them to “build” a vault on their computer.
This creates a problem of creating a note from a hyperlink that would otherwise exist if they had access to that file’s folder, among other potential issues.
I’ve also tried to look for freelancers who build these things, with no immediate luck.
