Clicking at the end of a line of bolded text puts cursor inside the asterisks

Clicking at the end of a bolded line places the cursor before the asterisks.

Scenario: There are several bold list items:

-**List item 1**
-**List item 2**

and I want to add a carriage return after line one to add a list item in between item 1 and item 2. In “live preview” mode, if I click the end of the line with list item 1, it places my cursor immediately after the 1, but before the asterisks:

-**List item 1𝕀**
-**List item 2**

Desired behavior: Clicking at the end of a line should place the cursor at the end of the line, including after any and all hidden markdown in live preview mode.

Operating System: Mac OS 26.5.1

You didnt follow the BR template and can’t reproduce what you are describing. Moved to help section.

You know what? Neither can I :joy:. I checked again just now, and it’s still happening in this one document, but when I duplicate the list markdown into a new document it works as expected.
