Click a tag to automatically change it to a different tag

I use the tag #todo to track tasks across my vault. This lets me just drop a task anywhere, and then see them all in the Tag Pane.
When something has been done, I mark it as completed by changing that #todo to #todone. It would be really convenient though, if I could click the #todo and instead of it opening the tag search, it switches it to #todone automatically

You might consider using task lists instead of tags. Task lists give you the clickable behavior, Search lets you search for all/complete/incomplete tasks (task-todo:// would show all incomplete tasks), and you can bookmark searches so you don’t have to type them.
