There are 1800+ plugins, but no way to know whether a certain plugin works.
There should be a way to report broken plugins and have them removed from the marketplace.
If you find a plugin that is both broken and unmaintained, please report it to us through the support email address.
And please don’t report plugins just because they haven’t received an update in a while, many old plugins still work perfectly fine.
Thanks. My ask / suggestion is to have this capability at the plugin level.
I agree that the last release is not an indicator, however unaswered github issues is see Plugin doesn't work? · Issue #26 · ludovicchabant/obsidian-remember-file-state · GitHub
It should be easier for users to report (or rate / review) and save other user’s time. Moreover, bad plugins can cause errors that get reported as bugs in Obsidian, so having a clue about problematic plugins could help avoid some of those.
I tried three plugins yesterday and none worked. So I built a forth one and was wondering about how will users decide which one to use in 6-12 months from now.
