Clean table of images

This is an easy way to show images side by side. This wasn’t very obvious to me and it took me a while to find a clean solution so here it is for anyone else:

Fig. 1  | Fig. 2
:----------------------:|:-------------------------:
![[Pasted image 1.png]] | ![[Pasted image 2.png]]
![[Pasted image 3.png]] | ![[Pasted image 4.png]]

Which produces:
Fig. 1 Fig. 2
![[Pasted image 1.png]] ![[Pasted image 2.png]]
![[Pasted image 3.png]] ![[Pasted image 4.png]]

thank you, I was always wondering how to do the same.

really helps if you want to include lots of figures in the presentation mode just like PPT.
