Claude Code IDE -- you ain't gonna need that terminal inside Obsidian

Every AI plugin for Obsidian embeds a terminal in a sidebar. But you already have a terminal you like — Ghostty, Kitty, Warp, whatever. Claude Code works great there. Why switch?

The only thing missing — Claude Code doesn’t know what you have open or selected in Obsidian.

claude-ide-demo

Claude Code IDE plugin fixes exactly that. Single main.js, zero dependencies. Same WebSocket protocol VS Code and Neovim extensions use.

  • Auto-discovery — install, enable, /ide in Claude Code, done
  • Selection sharing — select text in Obsidian, Claude Code sees it as context
  • “Send to Claude” — pass selected text directly
  • Your terminal stays your terminal

No embedded terminal. No Python. No Agent SDK. No chat sidebar.
