Steps to reproduce
Start up obsidian
type Japanese words
Expected result
Japanese words are inserted inline.
Actual result
Japanese words appear left upper side,
or it hides the character…
Environment
Operating system: windows 10

This is also the case when using a Chinese input method.
I am a little confused about what is going on here.
Did this start to happen in 0.8.14?
Please post gif\screen capture?

I’ll share one once I’m back at my desk. I’m not sure how long the big has been around, I rarely type in Chinese (but have many articles in it) so only noticed it after this post.

The box of suggestions is obscuring the phonetic text that I typed in.
Normally the box appears below the text, like this in Firefox:
OK, now I understand the problem
does this happen in chrome?
Does this happen with defult css too?

It works correctly (as in the second picture) in Chrome. The error persists in Obsidian using the default CSS.

Steps to reproduce
Switch to Chinese Input Keyboard (macOS) Pinyin - Simplified (should be already available as a keyboard)
Start typing pinyin (i.e. wo zai shi shi da zi)
Expected result
The pinyin text should be shown above the character selection tool as in other apps.
