Changing the LaTeX syntax

Hi, I would like to ask if it’s possible to change the LaTeX syntax? by default you can begin a equation in Obsidian by typing “$$” but this is annoying for me be because my other editors use “backslash” (ChatGPT, TeXShop).

If there is no way to change it, is there a way to automatically replace the symbol “backslash” with “$$”?

I don’t think it is.

I believe there is a text-replacement plugin that will let you replace backslash with dollar signs. But note that backslash is used by Markdown to mark characters as normal (for example if you just want an asterisk and not to mark emphasis), so you won’t be able to conveniently do that anymore.

(You could also use any text-replacement app or the built-in text replacement on Apple devices, but then any backslash you type in any app will be replaced.)
