Center Local Graph

I have noticed here recently that the local graph view does not like to place the graph in the center of the pane when switching files. Before I updated to 1.0.0 the local graph would always show a nice constellation of my local graph. But now it seems as though there is a force applied to the graph that pushes it out of view.

Steps to reproduce

In the Files tab, ctrl-O search for a file, or in the graph view open any file that has more than one links and or back links. Then switch to any other file that has more than one links and or back links.

Expected result

I expect to get something similar to the following image.

  1. I expect the local graph to be center and take up as much space as it can.
  2. I expect small graphs to be zoomed in.
  3. I expect large graphs to be zoomed out so that I can see all nodes.

After this starting point, I expect that I can zoom in/out and move the graph as I need.

Actual result

The following are screen grabs of different files local graphs. This does not happen to all graphs. Eventually the graph will stop while still showing some parts of the graph. Then other times it is so bad I don’t even see the nodes.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
Custom theme and snippets: for cosmetic issues, please first try updating your theme and disabling your snippets. If still not fixed, please try to make the issue happen in the Sandbox Vault or disable community theme and snippets.
Community plugins: for bugs, please first try updating all your plugins to latest. If still not fixed, please try to make the issue happen in the Sandbox Vault or disable community plugins.

I don’t think anything has changed in 1.0 about this and I can’t reproduce any permanent shift in the sandbox vault. The graph is recentered.

these are feature requests. Please/search open a FR.

I get that the second half of 1. and 2./3. are feature requests but its still what I expect to see. At the very leaset the first half of 1. is what I have experienced in the past. The graph view should not be drifting like this.

It not drifting for me. Post a screen recording of this drift happening in the sandbox vault.

Zoom out a lot. You can see the graph is recentered after every new note is opened.
