Use case or problem

In a canvas I can drag in a note or a folder. If I drag a note it imports the link, if I drag a folder it imports the contained files. Can I include a direct link to the folder instead?

Proposed solution

When I drag into a folder I would like to be asked whether to import all notes (Ctrl) or as a link to the folder (Shift). Holding down a key will automatically select the action.

I am not sure how that would work given that the concept of link to folder doesn’t’ exist (yet)

Allow [[links]] to folders

I don’t think this has been explicitly requested previously. Similar posts exist here and here, but I don’t think they’re the same as this request. I’ll try to make it simple: if a folder exists in the vault, you should be able to backlink to it—like [[Folder]]. This would make it easier to interlace folder-and-note setups for those of us using them. It’s also in line with how DEVONthink interprets [[wikilinks]]—not sure about other wikilink-supporting apps.
