Can't paste images from clipboard into note on Android tablet

Steps to reproduce

  1. Have a clipboard on Android that is able to contain screenshots (i.e: G-Board)
  2. Take a screenshot, and verify that it is on the clipboard.
  3. In a note, open the clipboard and select the desired image.

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? [Y/N]

Yes.

Expected result

Screenshot to be pasted into the file, much like it’s done in desktop.

Actual result

The picture is not pasted on the note. Pop-up message appears: “Obsidian does not support image pasting here.”

Additional information

Meanwhile I attach the screenshots to the note through the “Insert Attachment” command, but pasting them directly would be more efficient. I attached a screenshot of the message that is displayed when I try to paste screenshots from the clipboard.

My device saves screenshots as .png files.

This problem is not unique to Obsidian, but I some apps do let me paste images into notes, i.e Google Keep.
