What I’m trying to do
I have installed the obsidian app (1.8.9) on a device running Android 13. However when I try to create a vault, I get an error when selecting choose. It doesn’t open the storage system, simply displays the error.
I also tried to open an existing vault, however this does not give an error or go to a different screen, essentially no response.
Things I have tried
I checked whether obsidian had all files permissions, which it did, and disabled and reenabled it. I looked online but couldn’t find my specific error related to obsidian and others which had similar problems also got a different error message. On my Android 14 phone with the same obsidian version the functionality works.
This is the error message I am getting.
I would appreciate any help, and would appreciate it if you explain the reasoning behind help such as references to known bugs etc so I’m not just installing unknown third party apps etc for no reason.
