Can't link notes whose names contain spaces (named using spaces) with markdown syntax

Happened when I tried to open my own “md” notes folder in obsidian.

Steps to reproduce

Try to set a link to a markdown file from one to another which has spaces in its name:

  1. Make a new note named with spaces, like “New note”
  2. Make another note
  3. Write a link in the second one to the “New note”, using markdown syntax, like: [new note](New note.md)

Expected result

I expected to get link from one note to another.

Actual result

But actually I didn’t get any link. It just looks like simple text.

Environment

  • Operating system: Windows 10
  • Obsidian version: 0.9.20

But everything works fine if i use notes named without using spaces.

Not a bug. This is not even part of the markdown spec.
Also this is contained in the docs and has been discussed in the forum many times.
