Can't hold backspace key down in Obsidian

Holding down the backspace key.

Expected result

I expected to see Obsidian deleting characters as long as the backspace button was held down

Actual result

Obsidian only deletes one character when the backspace button is held down. It does not delete any more characters no matter how long the button is held down.

Android 9 is fairly old. Are you able to update at all?
