Can't enable Iconize - "failed to load plugin obsidian-icon-folder"

What I’m trying to do

I’m having an issue with Iconize. I can install the plugin, but when I click “Enable” I get the message “failed to load plugin obsidian-icon-folder”. Can anyone advise any next steps?

Things I have tried

Searched for:
“Can’t enable Iconize”
“failed to load plugin obsidian-icon-folder”

Tried:
Restarting Obsidian
Uninstalling / reinstalling Iconize

Are you using the early access Obsidian v1.7.2 by chance?

You can check for a plugin update, but Iconize isn’t working with that version at the moment (as far as I know).

I see. Yes, I am updated to the early access version. Guess I’ll just have to wait for an update on Iconize.

Currenty, I’m seeing the same issue with early access v1.7.4. Perhaps it’s easier to just downgrade to v1.7.1as indicated earlier?

Another post mentions downgroading is easily done via the Github release archive.

Some closed and re-launched Obsidian 1.7+ with the Bookmarks tab (in the left sidebar) open/focused on as mentioned somewhere in the following issue on the plugin’s GitHub repo: Doesn't load at all with Obsidian 1.7.2 · Issue #566 · FlorianWoelki/obsidian-iconize · GitHub  … which seemed to help :woman_shrugging:

Same problem.

Same problem.

I’m also having the same problem.

Running v1.7.4 with the latest version of Iconize (2.14.3)

Just in case someone would stumble upon this topic

The issue was fixed in the latest release of Iconize which is Iconize 2.14.4 :tada:
