Cant change font

What I’m trying to do

Install a custom font in windows and set that as a text font in obsidian.

Things I have tried

Running the plugin that lets me use a custom font but its stupid and applies it to the whole page. I want to use obsidian’s own, nice font selection menu that lets me choose what to apply it to.
I’ve also spent an hour fucking with obsidian’s cache, the windows registry, font installation locations, restarting services, hard to list them all.

Obsidian just refuses to recognise any of the fonts i have installed.

I am running the portable version of obsidian, win10 64. If its not giving a damn because its the portable version, then fair, but give me another way to install fonts then! Creating a fonts folder in .obsidian and putting it there didnt work. I restarted obsidian countless times before and after.

There’s no official portable version of Obsidian.

Wtf?

You’re right. I could have sworn there was and i was using it. Whatever, then just disregard that. I know i got it from the official site.

I reinstalled obsidian and now it works.

Maybe i was running the portable apps version? I have no idea.

I haven’t used Linux in a bit (with Obsidian), but on macOS and Windows any fonts installed on the device will be available to Obsidian.

You can also base64 encode fonts and put them in a .css file (or theme) to use.
