Cannot resolve links to file without an extension

Steps to reproduce

Enable “Detect all file extension”

Link a file without extension in markdown

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide?

Yes, reproduce this in sandbox mode on macOS and Windows

Expected result

The file I linked is actually in project directory. If I click “Click to create”, obsidian will create a new .md file

This issue is particularly noticeable when dealing with documentation related to Linux server maintenance, as I need to store some Linux binary programs in the documentation for later use, and these files generally do not have extensions. :face_with_head_bandage:

This is a screenshot in v1.6.7, which is the last normal version.

Actual result

Obsidian show “xxxx is not created yet”

This bug has existed since version v1.7.4 (inclusive)

we reserve the no extension for markdown and it’s unlikely that this part will be changed.

Anyway, feel to open a FR for this this.
