Cannot Login To Obsidian App when 2FA is Enabled

Steps to reproduce

  • Log into Obsidian.md and ensure 2FA is enabled (I was using Google Authenticator)
  • Open Obsidian and go to Settings → About
  • Attempt to login with username/password
  • See failure message (incorrect user/pass combo)

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide? Y

Expected result

  • Successfully logged into Obsidian.app

Actual result

  • Error saying cannot login due to email/password incorrect

Additional information

My debug info shows logged in because I turned 2FA off and was then able to log in

Are you sure you are able to log in with same user/pass without 2fa?

Also 2fa isn’t available on mobile yet.

The website was updated a bit too early.
To use 2FA you need to use at least Obsidian 1.4.5 on desktop and 1.4.8 on mobile.

Dang you guys are on top of it haha! This was attempted on Desktop before updating to 1.4.x as I wasn’t able to get it due to not being logged in.

Will confirm here once I turn on 2FA and relog. Amazing timing on this one

Success! This is confirmed working on my end now with 2FA enabled. Woot!
