Cannot access settings in iPad

What I’m trying to do

Activated AnuPpuccin theme with a style set from Pastebin. It works great on my Macbook Air and iPhone but on my iPad it is not. The settings gear icon is messed up and clicking on it just toggles the sidebar and window. I cannot access the settings to do anything. After a restart of the iPad nothing changed.

Things I have tried

Kind of at a loss here. See this screen grab for what the gear icon looks like.

If you long press on the ribbon, enable the Open command palette icon, and run Open settings, that should work.

You could also attach a keyboard and type Cmd , (comma) to bring up the settings.
