What I’m trying to do

Disable the new html formatting feature.

Can we disable the newly added feature that copies html formatting?

I do a lot of drafting in Obsidian, then pasting into Outlook. Outlook is hot garbage, so pasting plain text in (now html formatted) is a terrible experience.

I’m just hoping I can have a setting to disable the html formatting on copy, similar to the ‘Convert pasted HTML to Markdown’ feature.

I know I can Ctrl+Win+Alt+V, and that does work, but it’s cumbersome. Honestly, it’s not just outlook. I prefer to paste plain text just about everywhere.

One option would be a plugin like Copy as plain text.

Alternatively you can change things on the PC side. For windows, power toys has advanced paste. Or you can just create an easier shortcut using power toys remapper or even autohot key.

I do have powetoys running but that was a good idea to change the shortcut. we’ll see how that goes.

Still prefer a toggle in obsidian, but I’ll give this a go.

Not into Outlook.

Outlook is trash.
