Can type but not line-break with context menu open

I was typing away and noticed that I couldn’t insert a line-break with the Enter key. Then I realized I had the right-click menu open showing Cut/Copy/etc.

It’s strange to me that with the context menu open you end up in this strange half-working state. I would expect that either typing works as normal, or typing any character closes the context menu. The way it works now is broken one way or the other.

Steps to reproduce

  • Open a new note
  • Click into the editor so the cursor is ready for input
  • Right-click anywhere in the editor to open the context menu
  • Begin typing and press the Return key

Expected result

Either:

  • the context menu closes when you type, and input works as normal

Or:

  • Input is prevented/ignored while the context menu is open

Actual result

You can type alphanumeric + symbol characters, but the Return key does not insert a line break.
