Can’t stop showing the full path in internal links

What I’m trying to do

I have to type out notes that are dictated to me and the internal links are really crucial to me being able to type quickly and make references to other docs. This has changed since the update on the 12th

Things I have tried

Looked through the settings and looked through the forums

Can you check Settings → Files and links → Links → Use [[Wikilinks]] and see if it is toggled on?

Use case or problem In 1.10.6 and prior releases, creating a link with the link format set to relative or absolute path would automatically include an alias of that file’s name, rendering the link as just the file name but retaining the exact path details. ie [[Tech/Hardware/Consoles/Consoles|Consoles]]rendered as Consoles In 1.11.0 and above this behaviour was removed (confirmed intended on discord but not in release notes) so relative and absolute links just autocomplete the path with no alia…

I also experienced similar change and I am dissatisfied about that.

I have the same issue and no doing that does not fix it. I’m not sure of the code but something like the automatic alias option was removed in the update? It is very annoying.
