Things I have tried

Hi Obsidian, can I ask is it possible to attach pdfs and word documents as I weave my thoughts in my writings? Also, can I ask, does the search function work well that a keyword search will bring about everything that I have written in relation to the key word?

  1. Yes. You can add files to your vault and, in the settings, have those files show up obsidian. You can link to those files in your notes, and even have the files appear in your notes.

  2. Yes, you can search your entire vault at once. You can only search .md files using this feature, not attached files like pdfs.
