Can Dataview shows Markdown Link?

I am using Dataview to import thumbnails from the notes list, but the images I want to import are not always in Wiki Link format, but also include Markdown Links.

thumb::![[sample.jpg]]

This works. but it doesn’t work below.

thumb::![](sample.jpg)

Is it possible to get “thumb” for pictures linked via Markdown Link?

It is possible, but you need absolute links:

[Link](absolute-path-to-image.jpg)

But it still doesn’t work after I changed it to an absolute path.

This is not an absolute path. If you are on Windows, the path should be “file:///C:/path/to/image.jpg”, on Linux " “file:///home/user/path/to/image.jpg”.
