Hi there, debuting with Obsidian here. I’m beginning to realize its incredible possibilities, but I’ve hit a snag.
What I’m trying to do
I’d like to use the Templater plugins, Periodic Notes and Calendar, to manage my daily meetings.
To manage my weeks, I first created a template in Templater, which contains the following two links. My weekly notes have the following format: “2024-06-03 + SEMAINE 23” (SEMAINE means WEEK in French).
[[Calendrier/<% tp.date.now("gggg-MM-DD", -7, tp.file.title, "gggg-MM-DD[ + SEMAINE ]ww") %> + SEMAINE <% tp.date.now("ww", -7, tp.file.title, "gggg-MM-DD[ + SEMAINE ]ww") %>|<< SEMAINE <% tp.date.now("ww", -7, tp.file.title, "gggg-MM-DD[ + SEMAINE ]ww") %>]] | [[Calendrier/<% tp.date.now("gggg-MM-DD", 7, tp.file.title, "gggg-MM-DD[ + SEMAINE ]ww") %> + SEMAINE <% tp.date.now("ww", 7, tp.file.title, "gggg-MM-DD[ + SEMAINE ]ww") %>|SEMAINE <% tp.date.now("ww", 7, tp.file.title, "gggg-MM-DD[ + SEMAINE ]ww") %> >>]]
These two links work perfectly. After creating a week note by clicking on the calendar, they allow me to switch from one week to another; and if the week note file doesn’t exist, it’s created when I click on the link.
It’s in this second case that the problem arises: if I create a week note file by clicking on the Templater link and then click on the same week on the calendar, I get the error message Unable to create new file.
Here are my settings in Templater:
Things I have tried
I came across a discussion that recommended changing the “gggg” and “hh” in the Templater command to “GGGG” and “HH” (sorry, I can’t find the link in my history). I tried, it didn’t solve my problem.
I’m out of leads here, any help would be most welcome. Thank you!
