Button does not render in canvas

Hi All. It is not clear to me who owns this bug. Maybe Canvas, but maybe 3rd party…

I am using the ‘Buttons’ plugin by Sam Morrison. The button works perfectly on a normal note page. But when I lift the code block and put it in canvas, it fails to render anything at all. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this?

So I can make it render in a Canvas now by defining it elsewhere and using it as an inline button. But now my next problem is that it doesn’t actually fire… I can’t get a ‘click’ to work… has anyone actually got buttons working in a Canvas or am I off in the lead on this one?

+1 for me, the exact same issue. I’ve tried:

  • Defining in “card” canvas element in button block - Does not render
  • Defining elsewhere and including as inline in “card” canvas element - Renders but doesn’t fire on click
  • On a note included as a “note” canvas element - Renders but doesn’t fire on click
  • Embedded link to note in a “card” canvas element - Renders but doesn’t fire on click

+1 for me as well, I originally thought it was just canvas not rendering the buttons on the cards, However All the cases previously mentioned are also true for me.
