Broken pdf export

What I’m trying to do

Export a markdown doccument as a pdf using Obsidian’s native “export to pdf”. Currently, it will create a pdf, but inside it almost no text is visible

Things I have tried

  • Restarting Obsidian
  • Reading forms for guidence

Does this happen in the sandbox vault? CMD/CTRL + P type sandbox and press on open sandbox vault

Does this happen with the default theme?

yes it does. Here is what is supposed to be the “Start Here” page

Are you sure you tested on the sandbox vault?

I just did and i’m on the latest version of Obsidian and it works for me.

Can you copy and paste your debug info?

It looks like the text is there, its just making it white for some reason. If i select everything you can see it

Are you on Linux or something? I don’t recognize the OS.

If Linux, could be a system setting. Linux is weird with that stuff.

yes im on Fedora 39 using the Flatpak

I would check your settings then. Hopefully someone who knows linux can chime in. It is definitely a font or system setting.

Try switching your theme to the light mode color scheme before exporting the PDF.

There’s an issue exporting in dark mode with some Linux versions at the moment.
