Better options for Backlinks and Outgoing links > Unlinked Mentions

My suggestion regarding existing feature for changing “Unlinked Mentions” in notes available via “Backlinks” and “Outgoing” section, is to add this three options:

  1. Excluded Notes: a list of notes or directories(applied to their sub notes) that won’t be suggested for linking. E.g. I have notes with very general names, such as a note named If for a poem with this name, because of them my unmentioned links section is cluttered with linking suggestions for the word “if”.

  2. Don’t Suggest Duplicate Links: let’s say we have a note called Math and the word Math is mentioned in a note multiple times. usually we only link the first mention of the word and skip the others. With this option enabled 1) if a link to Math exist, it won’t suggest linking other mentions for linking. 2) If multiple mentions to a single note are available, only the first mention should be suggested to preventing cluttering in this section or accidental duplicate links. Alternatively all mentions of “Math” can be grouped in a list, so one of them can be selecting for linking.

  3. Letter Cases(Preserve Case, Match Case, Preserve Case in Title): Let’s say we link the text hello to a note with name or alias Hello. 1) if the “Preserve Case” option is enabled link it to [[hello], preserving letter-case of text. 2) If the option “Match Case” is enabled link it to [[Hello]], matching the case with note title or alias. 3) If the Preserve Case in Title is enabled, link it as [[Hello|hello]].
